God’s Deliverance Comes through Jesus L 8


Throughout the Bible, we have seen God the Creator delivering man in his hour of need. Whether it was delivering individuals from judgment like Adam or Noah, or delivering the chosen nation of Israel out of Egypt, God continually shows us his mercy. Every man does wrong and deserves God’s judgment. But God in his love has always made a way for man to be forgiven. Today we will learn how God completed His ultimate plan of deliverance.


What the Prophets said

1. The prophet Micah predicted that a ruler in Israel would be born in what town of Judah? (Micah 5:2) _____________________

Micah 5:2 - But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of

Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

God comes to earth

The Power of Jesus

The Bible records 37 miracles that Jesus performed while here on earth. Let’s look at a few of them:

Jesus proved that He was God in flesh and had the power over nature, spirits, illness and sin. Only a God with this power can deliver us from the punishment of sin.
